provides an overview of the use of alternative therapies, links to
articles on nontraditional medicine, and information on specific

- A non-profit organization founded in
1988, the ABC promotes research and public education regarding the
benefits of medicinal plants.

NIH Office of Alternative Medicine
- The National Center for Complementary
and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) works to identify and evaluate the
scientific literature on alternative medical practices, and to
disseminate information on alternative medical research to the media,
to the public, and to healthcare professionals. This site
contains an index to articles, bibliographies of cancer resources, and
a clearinghouse for information on contemporary and alternative
medicine.

- A comprehensive resource for
information on alternative medicine sponsored by the Columbia
University School of Medicine. The Carol Ann Schwartz Cancer
Initiative at the Rosenthal Center focuses on providing information on
alternative/complementary cancer treatment, including clinical trials.
