Board of Medical Specialties
- The ABMS site "allows the public
to verify FREE OF CHARGE the board certification status, location by
city and state and specialty of any physician certified by one or more
of the 24 Member Boards of the ABMS." Users must register
for search service and login.

- The AMA's online doctor finder
provides physician credential data on over 650,000 physicians
nationwide. Searches can be done by name or by medical
specialty.

Association of State Medical Board Executive Directors
- Directory of participating state
licensing providers. Contains background and disciplinary action
including medical malpractice, hospital discipline, and criminal
conviction information on medical practitioners.
- MedlinePlus
- MedlinePlus Health Information, a
service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National
Institutes of Health, provides users with information on many health
topics, drug information, searchable medical encyclopedia and
dictionary, and the latest medical news. Also provided are interactive
health tutorials for various diseases, conditions, tests, and
diagnostic procedures. Includes doctor, dentist, and healthcare
provider directory.
